What is now known as the Heafod Group was initiated in 1964 with the establishment of an acoustic ceiling contracting business being formed to serve the needs of the Western Australian building industry. The small business traded successfully and after a relatively short period were regarded by the local industry as having the ability to complete large and complicated installations.

The development of a range of special products saw the small organisation sell a patent system to a large Australian conglomerate and then go on to the construction of a comprehensive factory and machinery complex to cope with the manufacturing demand of new products.

Today the Heafod Group Consists of three divisions:

• Architectural Ceiling Systems Pty Ltd [ACS] Specialising in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of metal wall and metal ceiling systems, including acoustic ceilings and suspended ceilings.

• COLROL Pty Ltd Specialising in cold roll forming machine line manufacturing. 

• Ceiling Manufacturers of Australia [CMOA] / The Ceiling Supermarket Distributor of ACS and agency products to the wall and ceiling industry.
